The Mott Haven area on my layout is also the location of a row of industrial buildings that add to the railroad's business. These factories and warehouses consist mostly of building flats that fit in the 3 inch space between the backdrop and the last yard track.

Joe's Junkyard fits right in with the "down by the tracks" atmosphere. His dog is infamous among those passing through the area.
The vacant lot above the tracks will soon be the home of a building supply dealer.
One of the railroad's best customers is the Acme Anvil Company of Wile E. Coyote fame.
In fact, here is Wile E. himself with a fresh load of anvils. It looks like he's already in pursuit of his favorite nemesis.

It looks like the MJT Construction Supply Company is open for business.

This hot dog vendor has set up his business near the building supply company. The hot dog stand is by M&M Scale Structures. Mark and Maria Poklemba display many more of their creations on their website. See my LINKS section.

At 9:00 AM this morning, Tim and Tom Saiftie opened their new fireworks factory in downtown Mott Haven.
At 9:05 AM, the Tn'T boys, as they are known, were trying to decide whether to celebrate with a magnum of champagne or with that cigar Tom was saving for a special occasion.
The rest is history!
By the way, a building lot is now available in downtown Mott Haven - will build (again) to suit!
